Charles practices in each of Delaware’s state and federal courts, serving as both lead and Delaware counsel. In his complex commercial litigation practice, Charles represents companies, boards of directors, officers and stockholders in a variety of matters involving, among other things fiduciary duties, contract disputes, business torts, and proceedings arising under the Delaware General Corporation Law, including disputes concerning books and records, non-competition and other restrictive covenants.
A native of Delaware, Charles graduated from Salesianum and then the University of Delaware with a B.S. in finance before working for former Congressman Michael N. Castle in the United States House of Representatives. He went on to graduate from Widener University Delaware Law School, cum laude. While in law school, Charles served as the Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society and was a judicial extern to Chief Magistrate Judge Mary Pat Thynge in the United States District Court, District of Delaware. Prior to joining Wilks Law, Charles served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeffrey J. Clark in the Superior Court of Delaware and the Honorable James T. Vaughn, Jr. in both the Superior Court and the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware.
